I Could Kiss Everybody

Here's something all cute and snuggly (as is pretty much normal for my drawings... ), to offset the starker "In Battle" pic I also posted today. Back when I asked for possible theme songs for Scotty and Orin in my journal, sent me this link, saying it reminded her a little bit of Orin, mainly just because it was cheerful: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPOENb… Well, when put in that context, when I first heard the line "I could kiss everybody..." this is what immediately popped into my head! It was a pretty good way to explore Orin's relationships with all the main crewmembers, too, come to think of it. Nobody's actually talking in this pic/comic, but here's what I imagine is going on inside everyone's minds here...

Orin: Hey, that's Ms. Saavik! Unca Scotty tells me she's sort of new here. Ms. Saavik is cool! I want to get to know her better. I'll kiss her to let her know I'm friendly!
Saavik: ...Eep! Oh! ...That is Mr. Scott's adopted child, is it not? The Dinarian? Is this... is this a normal behaviorial pattern of Dinarian children? I shall have to research... that is all right, Child, now, um, let me get back to work....

Orin: Unca Chekkyyyyy! You're always so much fun! Here's a big kiss for you!
Chekov: Teehee! Gotcha! And vhat have you been up to today, little Oreen?

Orin: UNCA SCOTTY!!! You're a big cuddly teddy bear and you always take such good care of me! I wuvs you soooooo muuuuuuuuuch!!
Scotty: Awwww, that's me precious wee lassie! *chuckle* C'mere an' give me a big snuggle!

Orin: Yay, Dr. Bones! He's an old fussybucket, but he's always so sweet. I'm gonna give him a kiss too!
McCoy: *chuckles* Awww. What an affectionate little tyke.

Orin: There's Mr. Sulu. He's a nice guy. He's Unca Chekky's friend and he's sorta cool. I think I'll give him a kiss too, just because.
Sulu: Oh! Haha. Hello there, Orin.

Orin: Auntie 'hura! You're so pretty and sweet and amazing! *giggle* You know, I think my Unca Scotty might have a crush on you. That's okay, 'cause I love you a bunch too!
Uhura: *happy squeal* Meep! Come here, Sugar, and give me a big kiss!

Orin: There's Mr. Spock! Aww, Mr. Spocky-wocky is always so frowny-faced. I'll try to cheer him up!
Spock: ...What is this? I am being kissed! This is most illogical....

Orin: Oooh, I mustn't forget about the captain. He's a nice guy and he works hard and keeps us all safe. Here's a kiss for you too, Cappy Kirk!
Kirk: Wha--? Um... yes, that's very sweet of you, Orin, thank you... now be a nice little girl and run and play with Uncle Scotty, okay? Captain Kirk has a ship to run and he needs to look professional....

Well, anyways. This one took a while, but I had fun with it. Hope ya likes!

Oh, and PS: Congratulations to Lt. Saavik for making her first appearance in my gallery! (I prefer the Robin Curtis [i.e. Search for Spock and Voyage Home] version of her character, for the record, so hopefully my drawing looks more like that one.)
